At present, there is a shortage of 520,000 full-time preschool teachers in China, and 130,000 full-time teachers should be added in consideration of the new demand for kindergarten enrollment of school-age children by 2020, bringing the total shortage of teachers to 650,000,

1.Reasons for resignation
 
Too many teachers flow, which is not conducive to the growth of children and the stable development of kindergartens.The main reasons for teachers' resignation are as follows.
 
First, the salary is low. For a long time, compared with other industries in the society, the salary of preschool teachers is generally low, especially the new teachers. Under the pressure of life, preschool teachers have to do other jobs.
 
Second, the work pressure is high. The survey shows that most preschool teachers work 8-10 hours a day, and even some teachers work more than 10 hours. In addition, today's preschool teachers are facing the problems of more meetings, more inspections and more competitions. The work intensity is far beyond the tolerable range and exhausting.
 
The third is the trust crisis of preschool teacher industry. In recent years, the negative reports of kindergartens have increased, and the society has all kinds of incomprehension and prejudice against preschool teachers, resulting in difficulties in teaching. High intensity labor is not respected and understood enough.
 

 

2. How can teachers be retained

 

The resignation of any kindergarten teacher may bring incalculable losses to the kindergarten. How can we improve teachers' satisfaction and retain key teachers?
 

  

Establish a complete kindergarten management system

 

Actively protect the reasonable rights and interests of preschool teachers in all aspects and promote the stable and long-term development of preschool teachers.
 
Establish a sound teacher employment system, reward and punishment system, and clarify the conditions for teachers' promotion and salary increase, so as to effectively ensure the fair and orderly development of kindergarten teaching.
 
When employing preschool teachers, we should sign a clear contract of responsibilities and rights between both parties, enhance the enthusiasm of preschool teachers in teaching, and promote teachers' improvement of preschool teaching quality.

 


 

Establish a good kindergarten culture

The kindergarten head should provide a variety of cultural activities, enrich teachers' spare time life and create a united and happy working atmosphere.This will make the team have stronger cohesion and centripetal force

 

 

Actively understand the emotional needs of kindergarten teachers

 

As the head of the kindergarten, we should often think about what the teachers in the team need and whether they can meet their requirements? Don't wait for the teacher to take the initiative, because when the teacher puts forward his own needs, he is often considering leaving.

Pay more attention to teachers' emotions and teachers' views on the kindergarten.Try to streamline various meetings, reduce various meaningless inspections, and let teachers have enough rest time.At the same time, we should also communicate with teachers. Although communication can not solve all problems, it is a very effective way.

 

 

Provide teachers with a platform for their growth

 

For young preschool teachers, they attach great importance to the growth opportunities and development space in their work.Therefore, the head of the kindergarten should often provide them with training, learning and exercise opportunities to acquire new knowledge and skills, and establish a fair promotion mechanism to give them sufficient promotion space.When personal ability can be maximized in kindergarten, teachers will have more and more sense of value and achievement.

Moreover, if the kindergarten can properly carry out the team construction of the kindergarten, it can also greatly increase the teachers' sense of belonging.

The principal should also give the teacher space to try to create and realize new ideas; Improve the environment and achieve individual and team goals; Encourage teachers to expand their knowledge and ability

This can make teachers full of passion for their work and a sense of identity for the career of preschool teachers, which is more conducive to retaining teachers.
